Vanessa is the best in Clarencourt Salon! She is Professional, friendly and consistant.
I started goin there in 1999, when I lived in Balston. Now I live in Fairfax and I still go there for my hair cut. I tried "zillions" of salons but this one beats all of them hands down...!

Vanessa is great, talkative, and an Arlington native. I happen to like short (not military) cuts and I've always had great results here.

I got a great haircut (exactly what I wanted) from a beautiful, interesting woman in a clean, nice environment. The price, $15 for a man's haircut, was worth it. I usually prefer barbers, because often times stylists at salons need to be fancy or don't want to cut too much off. Not here. I couldn't be happier.

They run a professional shop at Clarencourt. I would recommend that if you want a traditional "1" that you ask for a "1 and a half." Also, they do get busy on the weekends!

Pauline has cut my hair for 4 years now, both when it was medium-length and now that it's very short. I keep coming back because she's consistent, delivering the same cut every time, and very friendly.

I've gone to Clarencourt Salon several times and have now come to the conclusion that it is only really a good place to go (at least for men) if you want a very short haircut. But I always seem to come away with a haircut that is much shorter than what I intended. I, too, have asked for "just a trim" and "neaten up the sides and back" and come away with a haircut that takes about 6-8 weeks to grow back to a length where I am happy with it. (Unfortunately, without my glasses, I can't get much of a view while the haircut is in progress!) I also have curly hair, which the stylists there seem to find particularly challenging.

I got my last haircut there in the first week of September, and am now (in early December) ready for my next haircut (looking for a new place). I have found the stylists to be generally nice and friendly--particularly the younger woman, who seems to have a good relationship with a number of the customers. And the salon is a generally pleasant place, and very convenient. However, they do have a difficult time following "not too short" or "just a trim" instructions and for that reason I cannot recommend them unless you want a very short haircut.

I went here, thinking that it would be a good place to have my hair cut. I asked for a trim (my hair was pretty long and that's the way I like it) just to even some things up. I got out of there sheared like a (now bald) sheep. I told the "stylist" that it was already too short and SHE KEPT CUTTING. Finally, the other employees spoke to her in Vietnamese (?) to tell her to stop. As I complained, the manager was sitting there, doing and saying nothing. They must feel that they don't need customers so don't bother going.
