This is truly a spectacular resort! The accommodations and amenities are beyond expectations. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with an extra large jacuzzi bathtub, and a walk-out to the screened balcony overlooking a peaceful pond with a fountain; it also contains a safe for your valuables; There's a tv & vcr, a sofa-bed, and a sky-light in the living room; there's a washer & dryer, dishwasher, range, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc.; (they even provide dinnerware and pots & pans).

There are SEVEN beautiful pools on the property. There's one with a waterslide, another with falls, they even have water floats available for rental or purchase at poolside.

There are several restaurants on the property, you can dine-in, or have it delivered to your villa. There's also a General Store! The resort is located close to Disney, Sea World, Universal Studios, shopping, dining, etc. There is also transportation (bus) available from the resort to the area theme parks, and guests can purchase multi-day discounted tickets to area theme parks right at Vistana.

The front desk staff is very helpful- any time I needed directions to an area destination, I picked up the phone and called.

We've stayed at Vistana twice, and the second time was even better than the first! We would definitely recommend it, and will certainly return again!

The resort is located near all the Disney Parks. We only stayed 3 nights but the service was excellent. We really didn't expect housekeeping services everyday because it is a resort. But when we returned at the end of a long day, there were clean linen and dishes in the dishwasher and everything was tidy

Where do i begin about this place. To me it was amazing. It had everything not just 1 pool but 7 different pools to choose from. They had there own grocery store inside the resort plus anything else you can imagin. They had many different restaurats to choose from plus many different bars as well.
The employees were all friendly and the security was great. So no one who wasn't staying there could just come in and use the pools.
Our room was huge very nice. The beds were cpmfortable. I loved how all the back views were facing ponds and waterfalls. It was a lovely place and i cant wait to go back again.

i loved the villa look of the hotel and the fact that my room was on a lake. i also loved my jacuzzi and my fully stocked kitchen. it was awesome. i wish i could have stayed longer. the hotel was really easy to find and right off of the main highway, so it did not interfere with my travel plans. i loved it.

This is a great resort! Very close to theme parks. (9 minutes from the Epcot parking lot to our villa). Staff was very friendly and prompt. In fact they were a little too prompt in one case. The shower door came off its track and when I called engineering to come and fix it, they were there in a matter of minutes. I barely had time to get dressed. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Although it is true that the rooms could use a little up-dating. The master bath was done in a retro, pink colored tile. The bed in the master bedroom was big and very comfortable. I had the best nights rest I've had in months. The pools were warm and clean. This is a gated resort and we felt totally secure. The in-room dining menu was limited but the food was reasonable and of good quality. The on-site Pizza Hut is great when you have hungry kids after a full day at Disney. There's a Super Wal-Mart 2 miles away. I recommend that you take advantage of the Diamond Lane check-in service available on Sheraton's web site. This makes check-in a breeze. All in all, a great resort. I know where we'll be staying the next time we visit Orlando.

Vistana is the best resort we have ever stayed in. We have been many, many places including Cancun, Aruba, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Disney properites, Europe, and the likes. I judge every place we stay by Vistana and have yet to find a place I like as much. The only thing that could possibly make it any better is if it were on the ocean. There are so many things to do in the area that it is mind boggling, yet you can be completely content just staying at the resort for an entire day. There are so many things to do right there. It is safe and comfortable. We have stayed at Vistana at least 8 times and we love it. My husband have been there without our kids, with kids and a nanny, and with kids and one friend. What a great place for a vacation!!!

I worked at the front desk of SVR for about a year and a half so I know pretty much everything you need to know about the resort and can help you plan your vacation out much better when choosing to stay with SVR.

First let's talk about the property. If you are looking for a place to go to relax and get away from the craziness of your life… this is the place to go. The property has 7 pools, 4 restaurants, a general store, mini-golf course, and tons of activities to keep you busy for a week. There are 1682 villas on property so you can imagine just how big this property is.

Now let's talk about rooms…the property itself is a 25 year old property but that does not mean that we have not renovated and that sections haven't been built more recently than that. The Cascades and Lakes are the most requested sections seeing as they are the newest sections. Yes these units are beautiful but they are also smaller in square footage than the other sections. They are the only 2 sections that have elevators so if you do choose to stay at the resort and do not want to walk stairs please request building with an elevator or first floor unit. My best suggestion to you is to get the idea out of your head that if you don't stay in cascades or lakes that your trip will be ruined. The other sections are still nice and they all have their own added benefits.

Requests are never put in by outside companies or even our own reservations department. If you have a specific request please call the resort at 407-239-3100 and they will note all your requests and do their best to meet them before you arrive. I would suggest calling back about a week before you arrive to verify that all your requests are in the reservation and note your time of expected check-in. Also please let them know if someone with another name will be checking in and let that person know that the reservation will still be under your name when they arrive. Also remember that on weekends we have about 400 to 600 check-ins and the majority of you are asking for the same things. Please be patient with the front desk because they will do everything in their power to get you into the unit that you have requested.

If you do decide to book at the resort and are driving into town, please call us to get directions for when you get close. Do not trust the car rental locations or airport for giving you directions because there are two properties that are very similar in name Sheraton Vistana Resort and Sheraton Vistana Villages. Verify which property you are staying at and make sure to call that hotel for directions.

Absolutely beautiful. We were blown away from the moment we entered our room. The decor was bright, cheerful. appealing to kids as well as adults. VCRs in both bedrooms and LR. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, screened in porch, incredible jacuzzi all made our stay that much more enjoyable. The staff could not have been nicer and the grounds were beautifully kept. We loved breakfast at the Flamingo every morning and the pools were fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful hotel without the attitude. Thumbs up.

This place was fantastic! It was very close to Sea World and Universal Studios but the hotel itself turned out to be just as much of an attraction to us. The room was really spacious and had every amenity we could think of, including a spa tub in the master suite. The two pools were marvelous. It was so nice to get into them and relax after a hectic day at the parks.

The 2 bedroom suite was great. It was like having an apartment with maid service. We used the washer and dryer almost every day. The kitchen gave us all the amenities of home. We went to a great supermarket got soda and supplies to make our own lunch and bring it to the Theme parks. The room service was basic: Fried chicken, pizza. etc. but not expensive. We spend full days without leaving the property. Great pools for little kids. Tons of restaurants nearby.

We stayed at the Vistana Resort three years ago and we loved it!! I have three children and it is so kid friendly. We have friends who are owners and we feel so fortunate to be able to stay somewhere so nice and close to everything. Some of the reviews that I read are mind blowing. I know it has been three years but I cannot imagine that they could be speaking of the same place. Don't believe the negative reviews it is wonderful. Maybe if you don't have children and don't want to be bothered by the noise but even then it is such a spacious resort that I am sure that wouldn't matter. My kids are so excited to be going back to the same place with the great pools! It is so close to everything. We went to Disney and Universal and had no problems. We made plans for three days and the rest of the time we stayed at the resort. It was great. We loved it and cannot wait to go again!

This is a great place to stay. Families would love it. There is so much to do.
It is a safe place with security gates.
The decor of the rooms is beautiful. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful.

This was a wonderful very friendly atmosphere. I ran into two problems while staying there, but they were both promptly fixed. The first problem was being checked into a villa that had not been cleaned up yet. The second problem was a worker stealing money out of my billfold, but it was my own fault I guess for forgetting it. Like I said, both problems were fixed promptly. The staff is great. The pools are awesome. Many family activities contribute to this wonderful place. This is in an excellent location to Disney.

There wasn't much to dislike! We are a family of 5 and have 3 small children under age 8 (including an infant). The 2-bedroom villa (Palms) was perfect for our needs on this trip. Our kids had their own bedroom, we enjoyed being able to cook and entertain friends, and we all enjoyed the Vistana pools and other amenities. We would gladly book another stay at Vistana in the future; however, we would need to firm with the sales staff about not calling to solicit us for sales presentations (ie. "free breakfast invitation!).

We went on this trip with another couple and when we were looking at places to stay a friend recommended Vistana. It was so nice to be in the same villa and have the space we had! Hotel rooms seem so crowded after a couple of days! The patio was great, we would sit out there late at night and play cards. The kitchen made it easier on us especially since my husband and I love to cook, going out to eat was not something we wanted to do every night. If you're traveling as a family or just with friends this is definitly the place to go!

This Resort is a dream come true! I go every summer and it never gets old. The pools are amazing. The service is beyond great. The entire atmosphere is awesome. Wether you are an adult or a child, your experience will be fullfilling! The General Store is VERY convenient. The fitness rooms are extremely nice. Vistana Resort is overall the best place I have ever been to for a vacation spot. Not to mention it is extremely close to Disney World and all the other theme parks. I highly reccomend this resort to anyone who is looking!

There were activities for all the family. The unit was large and well appointed. We even had a washer and dryer. There are many pools, a store, breakfast on the balcony. We will definitely return to the Courts since there was plentyof room for our extended family of 7.

Me and my family stayed at this resort in August 12-20 2006 for a week. This place is absolutely gorgeous! It is like home away from home.We stayed in the Fountains area, and I really felt like I was at home. There was one minor setback, the villa that we first recieved was really nice, but there was a leak in one of the bathrooms from the ceiling.I guess someone who stayed over us took a bath, and caused our bathroom to flood, seriously.Me and my husband was upset at that fact, and we asked for another room. With no problem, they gave us another room which was better than the room we had previously.Vaulted ceilings, 2 big spacious bedrooms.Jacuzzi in the masterbedroom, REALLY NICE.Other than that little problem with the leak, I would definetly recommend. The service is very friendly, and helpful. The overall appearance of the resort is SO CLEAN!We had absolutely no intentions on buying a timeshare, but we did.The sales people do not put any pressurt on you either.

If you think of traveling to the Orlando area, give the Sheraton Vistana Resort a try.
You will not be disappointed.

We had a great time at the Sheration the only thing I didn't like was once I booked my hotel I wasn't told we had to do a tour for Time share. Once we checked In we we're told about the tour. Other then that the hotel stay was great and very clean place to go.

we enjoyed the resort and all the activities during our stay. will return again. the check-in process is a bit lenghty when you're tired, but the staff do make it smooth as possible. very helpful and pleasent staff!

I've been coming here since i was little and i love the place more everytime. The staff are always fun and polite. It's a fun place for a vacation because there is so much to do here you really wouldn't have to leave if you didn't want to!And you meet so many people here as well. The rooms are absolutely amazing. There is a pool at every corner you turn.Did I mention there's a pizza hut on location?

This is a very nice and affordable resort that one can ask for. The services are excellent. It is very clean. There are plenty of room for the 2 bedrooms villa. I would go back and stay there again, next time I am in Orlando, FL.

All of the units appear to be convenient to the pools, clubs, recreation.etc.The unit that we stayed in was very well equipped (all dishes, kitchen tools, appliances,) clean, well maintained.Private.Shuttle busses to the major entertainment areas were a great help and they're free (with a pass from the office)This was especially helpful to my party since we had a cheap (you get what you pay for) rental car.

We loved the Sheraton Vistana but must warn you to rent your car from ANYONE BUT PAYLESS.One of our badly worn tires blew out on the highway in Disney traffic. The advice to us from payless was to make sure we bring it back with a new tire or they'll put one on my sisters credit card at their price. (I think that's their vehicle maintainence plan)I had hoped that someone would rescue us but eventually ended up changing the tire myself. The man who sold us the new tire was appalled at the condition of the old one. When we returned the car we were told that the tire we bought"didn't match" their tires (I suspect it had TOO MUCH TREAD on it) so they were going to charge us for one of their tires anyway.????????? Maybe I misunderstood something but renting a car should not be that much of a hassle.I guess we're just lucky we were't killed or injured on the highway.

The location is fantastic, there are a million things to do for kids of all ages, the food is good, the staff are friendly and helpful.

The rooms are large and spacious. There is a comfortably stocked kitchen and a washer/dryer.

On rainy days or on holidays when stores are closed, there are enough things to do to keep you busy - game rooms, craft rooms for little ones, arcade rooms, exercise and sauna rooms, etc.

One you go there, you won't book yourself into any other place in Orlando.

May 2006 - My family of 4 found the Sheraton through someone selling timeshare weeks on the internet.IT WAS THE BEST FIND EVER!!!!We've stayed at other area hotels, but they don't compare to the Vistana! We had a 2 bedroom villa in the Fountains - huge bedrooms, vaulted ceilings, jacuzzi tub, second bathroom/shower, fully furnished kitchen, washer/dryer, comfortable family room, skylight (3rd floor)!I really liked that we were in the Fountains at the back of the resort because we had no traffic....very quiet!I noticed that the Cascades pretty much overlooked the reception area and main traffic area (not for me!)The private screened in balcony (with ceiling fan) was ideal for first waking up!And we only had one MESSAGE about coming to get our Welcome Packet so they could tell us about their timeshare. We never responded and NEVER got bothered anymore either!I'm sure the other bad reviews HAD to be fabricated a bunch! We all loved this place! No bad smells, very clean, friendly staff! The pools were just a quick walk across the bridge over one of their beautiful ponds! They even have sooo many activites for both kids and adults to do on those non park days.Absolutely relaxing and comfortable!!Sheraton Vistana is the ONLY place we will be staying when we visit Disney (and we go once a year!).

I loved the whole place...beautiful property..rooms were amazing...overall great experience...only reason for the 4 is a little pricey and not an all inclusive...over 4 out of 5 stars..

We stayed in the Cascades section in a one-bedroom suite and were very satisfied. The kitchenette and washer-dryer were very handy and the pool/hottub area was terrific.

The biggest downside was that they were a bit disorganized. We didn't receive our welcome packet until the third day and didn't find out about the free Disney shuttle and discount Disney tickets until after we had already purchased tickets from the Disney desk located just steps away in the same building.

Another downside: no high-speed internet in our unit. But wireless is available in their business center.

They also offer $50 in Disney discounts and a 50% off coupon for a future Sheraton stay if you sit through a 1 1/2 hour timeshare spiel. This didn't happen until our next-to-last day, after we had already been to Disney. But they were very accommodating and gave us $50 cash instead.

With all the activities Sheraton Vistana schedules everyday you really do not have to leave the resort!Beuatifully decorated and the beds were comfortable.Very clean! We also visited 4 of thier pools and they were all great.
We did experience 2 problems. The first night that we arrived we were too tired to go out for dinner so we ordered a pizza from the onsite Pizza Hut.Nearly 1 1/2 hours later the pizza still had not arrived. When it finally arrived (after 2 phone calls)it was hot, free and we were give a complimentary 2 liter for our trouble. Our second problem was the washer/dryer combo. The dryer quit working. We called for maintance and the guy arrived in 10 minutes and had it fixed very quickly. So, both problems were solved.
We very much enjoyed our stay there and would definantly stay again.

The Sheraton Vistana Resort was good. We had a good time there, no troubles whatsoever. I recommend that you consider staying there if you're going to visit the area.

The Sheraton Vistana Resort was very nice, especially all the amenities they offered, they made us feel right at home.I would recommend this hotel to all that visit Orlando.Very conveniently located as well, close to all attractions.

We just got back from Vistana and were satisfied with the trip. I agree that the Cascades section of the the resort were the nicest. Initially we were placed into the Fountains section of the resort. It was ok, but very dated. The TV's were old and did not have any jacks to plug in an games/VCR's or camcorders.

We requested twice to be moved, and were finally successful in getting into the Cascades section of the resort. We did not stray far from the Cascads pool which the kids throughly enjoyed.

Good location, very close to Disney. Do not shop at the grocery store across the street from the Resort. Very very expensive. There is a SAMS club 3 miles down that was reasonable. We would come back, but only if we could stay in the Cascades section.

The stay was fine, but we were there for 4 days and changed rooms 3 times. The first room as soon as you walked in the smell of mildew was in the air. My sister noticed almost immediately. We located it in the worst place, it was around the air vent. Move number two was good, but we had a big crowd and the room was a little small. Move number 3, we just said fine. The kitchen appliances were old, but we just wanted to settle in finally. They placed us ALL the way toward the back of the resort. I guess they didn't want us to find the way back to the front desk. LOL. We also found out we had to pay for extra linen, no internet access ($10 a day in the business center).
The pools however made up for some of the issues with the room. The best had a waterslide and was never crowded. The views were great, the air conditioning was great after a filter change. And we were so close to the Disney area we enjoyed the fireworks from the pool at the Vistana.
We were just glad to have a place to crash at the end of the long days at Disney.

i booked the Sheraton Vistana Resort thinking that i would b very nice ..since it s very near to Walt disney world..and i read mixed reviews about the hotel but still i thought that its would b good...when i arrive they gave me a room which so far about 1015 mins walking from the reception..they have about 2000 or more villas n if u dont have a car then u have to walk all the way to ur room..after walking all day long from the theme park ...they say that they have a bell man service which take u to ur room..but they never come..n the service is horrible..specially the front desk staff...avoid if u dont have a car..stay in disney resorts if planning to go to the walt disney world... ur lucky if u get a villa closer to the reception...or else u walk n walk and sometimes can get lost finding ur room....

Just returned from Vistana today... I'm not over-demanding when it comes to being satisfied, but I seriously felt that the 87% of the property was borderline-tired... Unless you're slotted in the newest section (Cascades), there's a good chance you'll be disappointed IMHO. I'll speculate that the reviewers posting previously were all in the Cascades, or, they just might be Sheraton Shills... In the cut-throat arena of Orlando vacation properties, the Vistana appears vulnerable... Indeed, there are (7) pools... but several were probably among Orlando's finest back in 1985... The Courts (I understand it is the oldest area) resembles low-income townhomes... though they've tried their best to put lipstick on that pig... it's still a downer when you stroll the entire property.

Our room was not in the Cascades, but was merely acceptable... I was not blown-away as the appliances were mid-90's and the decor was from the same era, hinting at Howard Johnson... Overall, I was much more impressed with the previous Orlando resort we stayed in the last time we visited ... I enjoyed my stay in Orlando, so I'm being generous and offering "Average".. in that market though, it could merit a lesser rating

We stopped at the Sheraton Vistana as RCI members ,we were disappointed to say the least.
Our accommodation was the old part there, it was in need of decorating and updating.There was no balcony as promised it was just a small square underneath some steps!We asked to be moved but we were told it was full{even though it was October time.}
The location was brilliant and only minutes a
way from the Disney theme parks.
The resort itself was lovely and clean and the staff were friendly.

We had a beautiful suite for our honeymoon, however when our toilet overflowed things took a turn for the worst. The property does not carry mops, so they used our towels, then forgot to send us more.We had a large blower in our bedroom to dry our carpet for days. The hotel never offered us a new room and then wanted us to buy a time-share.

We stayed here for the last week of August. Our only complaint is that we were put in one of the older units which was really showing its age.We had a problem with ants--had to have the exterminator come to take car of the problem. Our dryer shut down twice. We were very far from any of the pools--had to walk quite a ways.Don't think we would stay there again considering all of the resorts available in the area.

We visited Sheraton Vistana Resort using an Explorer Package of Starwood. It was an experience we totally regretted. We arrive around 10 p.m and it took us about 20 minutes before someone took care of us. We were given a2-bedroom villa, and instructions on how to get there. We are usually pretty good at following directions, but this resort's layout was just too confusing.Afte driving around in circles, we finally found our room. It was big with two rooms, kitchen, jacuzzi and at first glance, it looked nice.At close up, I noticed the dust on the table, the dirty grout on the tub, and the musty smell of the room. All of asudden, my husband and I feel totally scuzzy. After a few minutes of debating, we decided to go back to the front lobby to ask for a different room.Again we stood in line for 20 minutes. It didn't make us feel better to hear the lady in front of us arguing with the clerk and commenting out loud "that all she had was aggravation ever since they arrived in this resort."We finally got taken cared of and was given a 1-bedroom villa in the "newer" section of the resort, even though we paid for a 2-villa. Anyway, we stayed there for a week. Customer service was very poor. Furthermore, all Starwood want is for us to get their timeshare packages. Even though we told them how horrible their Explorer package was, all we got was an apology. I will never do business with Starwood and Sheraton ever again. Overall, I would not recommend this place at all.

I cried when I first saw the room they tried to stick us in being known as the Courts which are like a 1960's trailer park that is in bad need of updating. I don't think they are even worth updating they just need to be torn down and rebuilt. Unless you get a promise written in gold from the front desk staff promising you a room in the Cascades section you are going to very disappointed in the resort. From what I have been told about the Cascades, they are the only decent section in the whole place. I would not know though since we were given the Courts. We did request a room change but was told they completly booked up. We finally got moved to another room and all the windows and doors were open where they were trying to dry the wet carpet from God only knows what but from the smell of the room you could not stay in that room either. It took maintenance to come down to our room and see how wet the carpet was and by the way there was still this big industial size fan in the master bedroom where they were trying to dry the carpet when we got there. He walked in a said he could not stand the smell and called the front desk and got us our third room for the night. It was much nicer but not worth the fight or the battle to get a decent room for the price of these villas. I thought the sheraton name had a better reputation than this but obviously I was mistaken. I will never stay at a Sheraton again. I have stayed in much nicer reorts in the Orlando area in the past and will return to them before I will ever stay in this place again. They called us everyday about picking up our welcome package which is nothing but a spill on their timeshares but did not work with getting us out of the smelly pig hole they stuck us into that night as hard as they push their timeshares. The only person who helped us and got us a nice room was the maintenance guy which is pretty pathetic that it took maintenance to get thru to the front desk. This was interesting considering they told us they were booked and did not have anything and he managed to find us something after he told them nobody should be in this room as bad as it smells. Believe the reviews, if you can't get it writing that you will be in the Cascades you will regret booking there and getting put in their other villas. The only people who give this property good reviews were in the Cascades section.
