Whenever I want to relax alone or with friends I go to Lafonda. I love the balcony view. Sometimes I 'd go when it is about to rain..just to watch the storms develop and change the sky colors. Its better than a movie, kid!
Just before you go out to get your party on or groove on check out La Fonda. The mango drinks are the Bomb!

I enjoy going here with a bunch of my friends. Everything that I tasted has been good. I love their Horchata

We practically won't go into Atlanta from Athens if we don't have time to chow down at La Fonda. Enchiladas that look like they should be on the cover of a magazine, fresh shrimp quesadillas that will make you think you're on the Gulf Coast, the best salsa I've ever had, plus cheap Dos Equis to top it all off. Cuban sandwiches are awesome, too. La Fonda, we love you! We're going tonight before a Braves game and we can't wait!

I wasn't impressed with this place when I first walked in, but the food wowed me and the balcony affords a great dining experience. Incredible spanish and cuban cuisine. Parrilla dishes are very good!

Every time I'm in ATL I hit up the LaFonda on McLendon. Those pressed sandwiches can't be beat!

Fun but get crowded before 8:00 p.m. Parking is a mess.

I love LaFonda for cheap, quick eats or for meeting friends out. The fish tacos and artichoke dip are musts :)

I loved the food at La Fonda. Their black beans and rice which come with most meals is worth it all by itself.
The sandwiches are all deliciously grilled and their Mexican menu has not disappointed me yet.
I love their Horchata (Iced Rice milk with cinnamon) on hot afternoons and their apple empanadas are sinful.
Even as leftovers, the food tasted great (which is good for college students who are always looking to extend a meal) but leftovers almost never happen, they are sooo good.
Service can be a little slow and you can't split checks easily so bring cash if you are taking a large group.

ARe you big on hispanic dishes. You will get your fill at this south of the border restaurant. Good family place!

Tired of the same old burritos and tacos and such?? This is the perfect place to experience a variety of dishes from south american countries. Try the Tostones with their special pink sauce!! Very relax/casual atmosphere right in between buckhead (clubbing district) and midtown. Only watch out if you have a large party since the place is quite small.
