How often do you get to eat a really good meal in the back of a pharmacy? Not that often. Quality food, great and accomodating waitstaff and the price is right. Try the torpedo, you won't be dissapointed. |

Don't be fooled by the name of this place... There is no place on the planet with better huevos rancheros other than a native New Mexican grandma's kitchen!!!!And you don't need the butter on the homemade tortillas because they are superb by themselves drenched in green chili! |

Used to be a lot of cafes/soda fountains in the backs of drugstores. They were probably replaced by fast food joints. Fast food, this isn't, thank goodness. Although the green chile is quite mild, it's among the most flavorful around. The dining area is very clean but stark. Not a lot of ambiance happening here. Just good food. It's not as inexpensive as I thought it'd be ($20 for breakfast for two, including tip) but if I lived in the area, it would probably be a regular breakfast haunt. As someone already pointed out, this is a cash only business, so be prepared. |

If you are lucky enough to visit this café when it is open, your experience will most likely be enjoyable. The green chili is delicious and almost everything is homemade. It is so busy that its hard to get good service. If you eat here try to get a table inside so your waitress will come to the table more that once. Overall, this place is worth a try. Take cash, they don't accept any other forms of payment!!! |
